Amuse – The House That God Built

If you’re a Christian and into tech house, Amuse should already be on your radar with his minimal style and use of heavily distorted samples of God-glorifying speech.

Amuse takes a bit of a step away from his usual sound here with more a more acid-based instrumental and minimally-processed, female vocal.

This track bumps along nicely with it’s hook gradually rising and falling gently to keep the interest while the vocal delivers the message.

The vocal is a simple reading of Hebrews 3:1-3 which reminds us that the builder of the house has more honour than the house itself. This, perhaps, points to Amuse’s acknowledgement that the one who “built” the musical gift in him is deserving of more honour than Amuse’s gift itself.
