One of the first Chris Howland productions I was aware of was his remix of David Thulin’s “Light In Me“. Under a new (albeit not very subtle) moniker, Kris Hauland, the pair are at it again, this time with the help of Euphoric Nation and Spencer Lloyd.
Released back in November 2017 this remix of David Thulin & Euphoric Nation’s bass-heavy trance offering retains some of the feel of the original (saw bass riffs, vocals etc) but adds some classic
Chris Howland Kris Hauland touches (staccato pad riffs, flute-like hooks and polished beats).
The lyrics speak of living today like as if it holds the key to our future, forgetting what has gone before, not focusing on what is to come but making the most of the moment we are in.
“So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” (Matthew 6:31-34)
