“Sin Ti” from Samuel Zamora is one of the latest releases on the MK837 imprint.
It starts out with a really weighty 4/4 kick pattern that almost sounds like it is distorting! Lighter hats, an echoing key riff and filtered pads and chords join as the track builds towards the break. As the filtering on some of the elements reduces, a commanding vocal leads into the drop.
The intensity rises with increasingly forceful staccato synths and a surging bassline pushing things on. Further synth stabs add to the pressurised feel of the track which doesn’t relent until things are stripped back for the outro!
If the original is a bit too intense for your taste, check out Dave Richards’ more relaxed tribal house remix which retains the synth riffs and vocals but matches them with a more down-tempo, rhythmic approach to the track.
