At Found Beats, we would be the first to admit that we are not experts in every genre of EDM so, when DJ Flubbel kindly offered to do a write up of his “Christian Hardstyle Remix Project”, we jumped at the chance to bring his expertise in the genre to the blog!
“Hi, my name is DJ Flubbel, I am a Christian producer from the Netherlands. I have been producing EDM for more than 20 years. I would love to tell you something about the background of my most recent release: Christian Hardstyle Remix project!”
“In my early years I started in the harddance and hardcore genre; but in 2015 I decided to pioneer by producing the first Christian hardstyle album ever released. My focus has been on producing more Christian hardstyle music ever since and last year was the release of my fourth album: “Christian Hardstyle Remix Project.”
This album was in cooperation with various artists from all over the world including Coroxxon (GT), Exodus Project (MX), Resonant Force (MX), The WLF (NL), Stryptic (NL), Karlizimo (USA) and D-Morphian (NL). We all have 2 important things in common: our love for hardstyle and our love for Christ. The main goal of our album is to share some of that love with others and inspire them with the Gospel using modern hardstyle music.
Last couple of months I made 3 video clips, which I would love to share with you here on Found Beats, together with the background story of those particular tracks.”
No Longer Slaves (Hardstyle Remix)
“I’m no longer a slave to fear, but I am a child of God.
You unravel me, with a melody. You surround me with a song.
Of deliverance, from my enemies. Till all my fears have gone.
I’m no longer a slave to fear, But I am a child of God!”
“The idea of making a hardstyle remix of this particular worship song was born more than 5 years ago. Like with many of my tracks it started with a moment of Devine inspiration after listening to the original version by Bethel Music featuring Jonathan David & Melissa Helser. I took me however quite a long time to finally finish the track. At first, I had to search for a decent vocal. I have to thank Reyer and Retain for letting me use their stunning vocal, which was sung by Robin Vane. It took me some piano lessons (by a friend) to get the chords right and finally it was the teamwork with The WLF, Stryptic and Coroxxon to make the final result. Honestly, I think it is one of my best tracks ever made.”
“The message of the song is simple: You do not have to be afraid. You are loved by God! I think it is good to keep reminding ourselves this important message, especially in the challenging times with the Corona virus going on etc.”
“Thank you for reading Part 1 of my story. These are the first 3 videoclips I made for this project. There are more tracks on the album and I hope to make more videos later this year. Be sure to keep an eye on my social media (but not too often, LOL) or my website http://Flubbel.com/. I hope you like it and that perhaps you are willing to help me out by sharing my music and message with your friends!
Check back tomorrow for Part 2 of the write-up.
